The stretch of downtown between McEuen Park and Riverstone runs on a schedule most residents only half-know. There is a concert most nights of the week from early July through Labor Day, and the venues are close enough that a single summer can carry four distinct weekly routines without repeating a block.
What has changed for 2026 is the food layer around those stages. Two long-empty storefronts on Sherman and Fourth are now serving, a chain burger concept is opening on Appleway for the first time in North Idaho, and the calendar around all of it has firmed up. Here is how the pieces fit together for July, in the order a downtown resident would actually use them.
The four-night grid
Coeur d'Alene has three separate free outdoor concert series running through the middle of summer, each on its own night and each with its own crowd. Combined with the second-Friday ArtWalk, it produces a weekly grid that repeats reliably.
